According to a survey from the Harris Poll, an estimated 22.6-million people in the U.S. already were planning to miss work today because it’s the day after the Super Bowl.
That total includes 12.9-million who took a pre-approved day off and 4.8-million trading shifts with a coworker to get the day off, but an additional 12.9-million apparently arrived later to work!
So, that’s not even counting the extra people who simply woke up this morning hungover like, “Nope! Not going in today!” and called in “sick”.
Then we wonder why we debate over the day after the “Big Game” being a federal holiday each year!
