AAA and the navigator apps Waze and Google Maps are working together to provide an extra service for holiday travel. If you a AAA member and use those apps, you get special alerts on your GPS to let you know about possible problems. This new GPS software is only being used in Florida and 13 other states.
Pinellas County Commissioners did vote to approve bond funding for the proposed new Rays stadium. The city of St Pete and the county are supposed to carry half the financial load with the team taking on the rest. The Rays will play at least next season at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
