Two breaking news stories overnight. The first is the brush fire near the Mosaic Plant in Riverview that send plenty of black smoke into the air around 545 pm. Crews are still on scene monitoring hot spots and you will see activity in the area.
The second story is the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland very early this morning after it was hit by a cargo ship. Crews are scene and have rescued two people.
If you had a Carnival Cruise out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival Freedom, it may have been canceled after a fire in the ship’s exhaust funnel. The sailings that were scheduled for March 25, and March 29 cruise have both been canceled. Carnival promises “a full refund and a “100% future cruise credit” — a voucher that can be applied to future cruise purchase.”
