Starting this year, the highly regarded Michelin Guide will add the St Pete/Clearwater area, and in 2026, the entire state. Why now?

Restaurants and chefs are certainly happy with this new development since being a part of the guide can mean an increase in patrons - and cash. Helen Freund, Food Critic for the Tampa Bay Times has an excellent column on what those stars can mean to a restaurant.
