Ann Kelly

Morning show host

Hello, I am Ann Kelly! I was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio (which is a suburb of Cleveland) as one of five children! I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green Ohio, and a member of the National Journalism Honor Society. I was voted Radio Personality of the Year by American Women in Radio and Television, as well as Honorary Chairperson for the Arthritis Foundation 5K, and and am very proud to be on air for WDUV 105.5, the 2015 AC Marconi Award Winning Station of the Year. What makes my show unique to the Bay area? Life’s been good to me... 2018 marked my 30th anniversary with Cox Media Group here in Tampa Bay (August 15th to be precise), and it’s so true: life does go by very fast. Being a part of the Cox family has always made me feel like I make a real difference in this industry. My passions are many, but I love to cook and bake. I even collect cookbooks that I read like great novels! I’m fond of what I call “Staycations,” since I’m privileged to live in such a beautiful state. I’m a wannabe home improvement specialist who give it her best shot, and dreams of that shabby chic cottage just waiting to be found. And the simple pleasure of creating m herb and butterfly gardens are a good start! You can see what I love to do in my two blogs here on WDUV.com; Ann-Ventures and Ann Kelly’s Kitchen. I’ve been privileged to be a part of helping numerous charities here in the Bay area; I have served on the Board of Directors for the Suncoast Hospice, I am now on the leadership council for the Arthritis Foundation, and I have been a board member for Religious Community Services. I work with the Suncoast Animal League at two events annually, I also volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for 25 years (so far); the Arthritis Foundation, and have been the emcee for the Abilities Wine Tasting as well. I also auctioneered for the Tampa Aids Network, which held wonderful auctions that I used to lose my voice a lot at, and for the Boggy Creek camp that I’ve managed to crochet a lot of afghans for, and so many others! I just want to say thank you for letting me be a part of it all. Even when I’m really missing my family, I can always count on my Tampa Bay family to make me feel like a real part of things here now and for many years to come!
