A second sample has been made available from a long-lost recording session for a Beatles Christmas single. A 33-second clip of the Beatles singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" to the tune of "Dixie" has been placed online by the owner of the tape, who wishes to remain anonymous. It's a small part of a 12-minute tape that was recorded at a session for their 1965 Christmas single, although the contents of the tape have never been heard before.

The "Dixie Christmas" sample replaces an earlier one that featured the sound of crying babies while George Harrison discussed butchering small children. The engineer at the recording session was randomly playing sound effects for the Beatles, who were reacting to each one with a new bit of improvised comedy, something they were all very good at. Harrison was well-known for his sense of humor, which sometimes leaned in a macabre direction. The tape's owner wants to make it clear that there is no known connection between the recording and the infamous "butcher" cover of the Beatles' 1966 album Yesterday...And Today, which featured the smiling band in white butcher's coats with raw meat and dismembered baby dolls lying around.

The version of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" done to the tune of "Dixie" is the only song on the tape, the rest of which features spoken word material.
